Colt Landon Baker, a twenty-something singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas, has been playing and studying music since he was nine years old. Having committed himself to touring and playing around the country, Colt's music is not a hobby or a past-time, it is his life. His musical influences range from the classic country and 50's rock and roll he favored as a child to the folk legends and contemporary singer-songwriters still around today.
Trained as a guitar player and playing lead for up-and-coming artists in the Ft. Worth Stockyards during his time at North Texas University, Colt eventually transitioned to playing solo and acoustically. Colt made the decision to make his music his career and began touring and playing full-time as a solo act in late 2008. Since then, it has been a roller coaster ride never short on new experiences, new venues, new friends and most importantly, new music.
Staying an independent musician, Colt has released an album, Songs From The Blue House, and an EP, Lullaby, but is most looking forward to the release of his new music and recordings in the fall of this year.
